Meeting of gay/lesbian church members, friends, will precede diocesan AIDS Mass on October 28

Gay and lesbian Episcopalians and their friends are invited to a diocese-wide meeting on Sunday, October 28, 2:30 pm in the parish hall of St. John's Church, Los Angeles, preceding the annual diocesan AIDS Mass at 4 pm (see listing in "This week around the diocese," below).

At the meeting, hosted by the Bishop's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Ministry, participants will discuss the recent House of Bishops meeting and form plans for General Convention 2009, to be held in Anaheim. The Rev. Susan Russell, president of Integrity and associate at All Saints Church, Pasadena, will lead the meeting.
