LA CAŅADA (northwest of Pasadena): Director of Children's Ministries.
St. George's Episcopal Church is seeking a part-time Director of Children's Ministry.  Duties include: Plan and lead a Children's Chapel on Sunday mornings for ages 5-12, featuring biblical storytelling, drama, music, prayer and other creative devotional experiences; and coordinate all other Sunday morning children's ministries.  Provide resources midweek to strengthen faith formation at home for kids and parents, through the monthly newsletter, the church website, and mailings.   Midweek responsibilities are possible with our thriving Preschool, depending on interest and availability on two mid-mornings per week. Applicants must be steeped in Christian faith, and committed to sharing their joyful love of God with children.  Skills and experience in storytelling, music, and drama are a plus, as is background in the Episcopal Church or another liturgical denomination. LAGUNA HILLS: Full Charge Bookkeeper.
St. George's Parish is seeking a full charge bookkeeper. The primary responsibilities of this position are overseeing the accounting and financial statement preparation functions for St. George's Church and Academy. The Finance Manager also manages payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable, and has significant involvement in the development of the annual budget. The Finance Manager attends monthly meetings of the Finance Committee of the Church Vestry and any other meetings that may require financial input. This position assists Academy parents with enrollment and tuition matters. The qualified applicant must have a degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field and three years of experience in general fund accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals, practices and procedures, and working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel), accounting software and the Internet. LOS ANGELES: Director of Lower Elementary School.
